The Teen Project, Inc., a distinguished 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to rescuing and rehabilitating victims of trafficking and homeless young women proudly announces the opening of Carol’s Sanctuary, a 24-bed facility. Nestled at 14530 Sylvan Street, Van Nuys CA 91411, the building holds a special place in the hearts of many Angelenos for its longstanding dedication to aiding vulnerable populations.

With its rich history and legacy of service, the building has been completely reconstructed and revitalized to continue its noble mission. As part of The Teen Project, Inc.’s commitment to expanding its reach and impact, the organization will prioritize the rescue and rehabilitation of pregnant and addicted young women, recognizing their unique vulnerabilities and the critical need for specialized care.

Through comprehensive support services and a nurturing environment, these individuals will be empowered to reclaim their lives and pursue a brighter future for themselves and their children. To celebrate this momentous occasion, The Teen Project, Inc. invites members of the community to join:

May 28, 2024, from 11:30am to 2:00pm.

The event will take place at the newly refurbished building, located at 14530 Sylvan Street, Van Nuys CA 91411.

The Teen Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Lauri Burns, a prior foster youth and victim of trafficking, and is dedicated immediate rescue, drug treatment, education, and job training. There are five sites throughout Southern California, serving foster children and vulnerable young women, seventy-four beds in total. The Teen Project provides drug treatment at no cost to eligible recipients through the support of County of Los Angeles, Department of Public Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) and their gracious donors.
