Dr. Dre has been discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after having been treated for a brain aneurysm.

The 55-year-old was said to be in good spirits over the weekend as he was able to return back home and continue his recovery out of hospital.

Dre thanked all the medical staff at Cedars for having helped him in a message on Instagram. He also thanked family, friends and his fans for their support during his health scare.

The record producer and rapper was first rushed to hospital on January 5, having suffered a brain aneurysm.

Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Missy Elliott were among the music stars to wish him well.

Last week Ice T released a message saying he had spoken to Dr. Dre and was wishing him a full recovery. He then later updated everyone to say he had FaceTimed with him and that he was “looking good” and had just made it home.
